Golyo is a Po-Matoran native to Metru Nui.

Biography

Metru Nui

Golyo lived and worked in Po-Metru. He was captured by the Vahki under the command of Makuta Teridax, disguised as Turaga Dume. He was then forced into a Matoran Sphere but was later rescued by the Toa Metru and awakened on the shores of Naho Bay on the island of Mata Nui.

Mata Nui

Golyo was reduced in size and physical strength and he also forgot about his life on Metru Nui after he was kept in a Matoran Sphere. Shortly after the Matoran arrived on Mata Nui, under Onewa's lead, he helped build Po-Koro with pieces from dismantled Airships used in the Great Rescue.

On Mata Nui, Golyo herded Mahi in a small range near the entrance of Po-Koro; from this experience, he became well-versed in the Kolhii Skill of Strategy.Skabelon:OnlineCitation

Golyo, like his fellow Po-Matoran, evacuated to Ga-Koro after Tahnok swarms attacked Po-Koro while the island endured the Bohrok Invasion. After the Pahrak swarms cornered the Matoran in Ga-Koro, Golyo faced the Bohrok along with all the other Matoran present before the Bahrag were defeated by the Toa Mata. He later departed for Po-Koro.^{[BOA, Ep. 5-7]}

Golyo was rebuilt alongside the other Matoran during the time of peace following battle between the Bohrok-Kal and Toa Nuva.^{[BKOA, Ep. 3]} He helped Hahli to improve her skills of Strategy through an exercise involving catching runaway Mahi while the Ga-Matoran was training for the Kolhii Tournament.Skabelon:OnlineCitation

Return to Metru Nui

Golyo helped in the construction of boats to facilitate his and the other Matoran's return to Metru Nui, where he began work rebuilding the decrepit city, along with his fellow Matoran. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of Jaller, to force the Turaga to reveal where the Toa Nuva had gone, but he eventually got back to work.

After Makuta Teridax took control of the Matoran Universe, "Turaga" Ahkmou ordered Golyo along with all the other Po-Matoran to make statues of Teridax.Skabelon:OnlineCitation He was liberated of the Makuta's regime when Teridax was killed in the Battle of Bara Magna, leading to the Matoran emigrating from the Matoran Universe to continue life on Spherus Magna.
