Adaptive Armor was the Toa Nuva's newest armor that could adapt to any environment it was exposed to. The Toa Nuva were given this armor by Artakha(being) when they entered his realm. When they were brought to the Universe Core by Artakha they were in midair, then their armor adapted and they were floating. The Toa Nuva's masks and weapons were part of the armor.
