Air Bubbles were harvested from the Fields of Air. They were crucial to the survival of the Mahri Nui Matoran, since the bubbles supplied them with air underwater. The Matoran of Mahri Nui would tame the skilled Hydruka to help find the Airweed which contained the bubbles. The Air Bubbles were used in large amounts to form bubbles such as the ones around Mahri Nui, or in smaller amounts to form personal bubbles used by individual Matoran.
