Game Piece

The BIONICLE Action Figure Game was a game that could be played with the Glatorian and Glatorian Legends sets.

Rules[]

Basic Rules:

Two Glatorians face each other across an arena, with their cans acting as bases. Shoot spiky Thornax balls to lower your opponent’s life points and become the next champion!

  1. Take your Glatorian and place it on a smooth surface and set it in front of its can.
  2. Two people play the game; you and your opponent are about 2 meters away.
  3. Set the life counter(s) to 5 and decide who goes first.
  4. Each player has 1 shot per turn. When it is their turn the player can choose between an ATTACK SHOT, where you can shoot at the opposing Glatorian, or a MOVE SHOT, where you shoot at a spot on the ground and move to that new position.
  5. If you hit the opponents Glatorian they move their Life Counter down 1 numbers. If you hit their can, they have to move their Glatorian's life counter down 2 number.
  6. Wherever the ball lands after shooting, you move your Glatorian to the spot where the ball stopped (which would most likely be a decent amount of space away from the other player since the ball usually bounces back).
  7. Then the other player has their turn. You repeat the process until a player's life counter is at the skull symbol. They lose, and the other player who still has some numbers left on their life counter wins.

Advanced Rules:

The Glatorian and Agori figures form a team. The Agori acts as a shield to defend the Glatorian, but the Agori only has one life, so you have to use it with care. Shoot spiky Thornax balls to lower your opponent’s life points and become the next champion!

  1. Set up the game using 2 teams each with 1 Glatorian, 1 can and 1 Agori.
  2. Place the cans opposite of each other about 2 meters apart. Place the Glatorian in front of its can. Set the Glatorian's life counter to 5.
  3. Agori can either be placed in front or behind the Glatorian. Decide who goes first.
  4. Each player has 2 shots per turn. When it is their turn the player can choose between an ATTACK SHOT, where you can shoot at the opposing Glatorian (if you hit it, its life counter goes down 2 numbers, if you hit its can, its life counter goes down 1 number, and if you hit its Agori, its Agori is out of the game), or a MOVE SHOT, where you shoot at a spot on the ground and move to that new position, or a REVIVE SHOT, where you hit your own can and win back your Agori.
  5. After shooting, move your Glatorian and Agori together to where the Thornax ball lands.
  6. If an Agori is eliminated from play, the remaining Glatorian has only 1 shot per turn. (The 2 shot rule applies if your Agori is revived.)
  7. Then the other player has their turn. You repeat the process until a player's life counter is at the skull symbol. They lose, and the other player who still has some numbers left on their life counter wins.

Team Game Rules:

2 Glatorians form a team, but can move independently of each other. The Glatorian team shares 2 shots per turn. Shoot spiky Thornax balls to lower your opponent’s life points and become the next champion!

  1. Set up the game using 2 teams each with 2 Glatorians and 2 cans.
  2. Place the cans opposite of each other about 2 meters apart. Place the Glatorians in front of their cans.
  3. Set the life counters to 5 and decide who goes first.
  4. Each player has 2 shots per turn. When it is their turn the player can choose between an ATTACK SHOT, where you can shoot at the opposing Glatorian, or a MOVE SHOT, where you shoot at a spot on the ground and move to that new position. Both of the player's Glatorian get one shot per turn, thus using the 2 shots rule.
  5. After shooting, move your each of your Glatorian to where their Thornax ball landed.
  6. If a Glatorian is eliminated from play the remaining Glatorian has only 1 shot per turn.
  7. Then the other team has their turn. You repeat the process until both of 1 team's life counters are at the skull symbol. They lose, and the other team who still has some numbers left on their life counters wins.

Vehicle Game Rules:

(This game includes all sets that cost more than the regular $12.99 sets! Sets that are warriors play the rules as it says: (or warrior/creature), except for the parts that include the "drivers".)

The driver and the vehicle (or warrior/creature) are the ultimate force in this game. In some cases the vehicle has its own life counter which must be used first. The driver/rider (or warrior) has 2 shots per turn and may use them as ATTACK or MOVE SHOTS. Fight to become the next champion!

  1. Set up the game using 2 BIONICLE vehicles (or warriors/creatures, or 1 of each).
  2. Place the BIONICLE vehicles (or warriors/creatures, or 1 of each) opposite each other about 2 meters apart.
  3. Set the life counter(s) to 5 and decide who goes first.
  4. Each player has 2 shots per turn. When it is their turn the player can choose between an ATTACK SHOT, where you can shoot at the opponent (if you hit the vehicle they move their life counter down 1 number, if you hit the rider (or warrior) they move their life counter down 2 numbers), or a MOVE SHOT, where you shoot at a spot on the ground and move to that new position.
  5. After shooting, always move your figure and vehicle (or warrior/creature) to where the ball lands.
  6. Life points on the vehicle must be used first. Once the vehicle's life points are used up, the figure must exit the vehicle and continue the game on its own.
  7. When a vehicle is eliminated from play the remaining figure has only 1 shot per turn.
  8. Then the other player has their turn. You repeat the process until all of 1 player's life counters are at the skull symbol. They lose, and the other player who still has some numbers left on their life counter(s) wins.
