Ba- was a Matoran prefix meaning "gravity". When used, it denoted that the object of its reference was associated with gravity and/or the Element of Gravity in particular. Garai was another Matoran word for gravity.
- The prefix "Ba-" was derived from baros, a Greek word meaning weight.
