A boat was a type of aquatic vehicle that inhabitants of the Matoran Universe used to travel across water. Although a large canoe on Mata Nui could hold ten Matoran, the city of Metru Nui bustled with massive barges, each of which was able to hold tons of cargo.
On Mata Nui Takua lent a boat from Maku to explore the island. Subsequently, after helping save Ga-Koro, he was able to rent a boat from Marka to travel between Ga-Koro, Ta-Wahi and Po-Wahi.
