Bohrok was a small promotional BIONICLE mini-comic released alongside the Bohrok canister sets in the spring of 2002. It served as a concise introduction to the Bohrok swarms and their elemetal powers. This issue was never collected into graphic novel format.
This comic was released in two slightly different forms: one going under the title Swarm, and the other using the title Bohrok. Both comics used the same artwork. However, the Swarm version contained dialogue and narration, while the Bohrok version did not.
Opening[]
The Toa have triumphed in their first battle with Makuta. But the struggle to free Mata Nui is far from over, for the day of the BOHROK has come...
Plot[]
Tahnok are seen sleeping in their canisters, deep in their Bohrok Nest. They awaken and climb out of their resting place. They swarm together and march out, ready to annihilate everything in their path. Outside Ta-Koro. Jala and Turaga Vakama spot a swarm of rampaging Kohrak heading toward them. They flee to the shelter of the Koro, but the Ta-Matoran Guard is still in danger. A Kohrak shoots a blast of ice at the sentry, but Tahu steps in and blocks the attack. The Bohrok lunges at the hero, but misses and smashes the wall instead. The Toa notices the Krana within, but has no time to contemplate its mystery, as he is suddenly confronted by the rest of the swarm!
