Overview
The Brotherhood of Makuta are the main villains in the Bionicle universe. The Brotherhood itself has yet to appear in the Bionicle storyline. But a few lieutenants and several underlings have been shown.
History
The Brotherhood of Makuta supposedly existed to protect the Matoran. However, for unknown reasons they became corrupt and sought power. Among their plans to do so was stealing the Kanohi Avohkii, and forming an army of Visorak, Exo-Toa, and Dark Hunters. They also seem to do extensive work in mutation, creating and altering living beings as they see fit.
