Catapult Scorpions were savage scorpion Rahi with sharp pincers, teeth, and spines that nested in caverns beneath the Sculpture Fields of Po-Metru and rarely emerged. As they considered every living thing save Kikanalo an enemy, they were very dangerous. When they surfaced, Phase Dragons, Rock Raptors, Tunnelers, and Po-Matoran were wise to stay away. Catapult Scorpions were commonly mistaken for large Nui-Jaga, but they were far more hostile and dangerous. Its most effective tool was its stinger, which allowed it to somehow materialize a ball of molten magma at the tip of its tail, harden it, and launch it at foes. Catapult Scorpions ate solid protodermis, and their preferred hunting method was following herds of Kikanalo and eating whatever they left behind.
