Energized Protodermis was a very strange and rare type of Protodermis. It would transform or mutate any living being or plant, and turned the Toa Mata into the Toa Nuva. If the living matter was not destined to be transformed, it would be destroyed, like the Karzahni plant was. When a Kraata would come into contact into Energized Protodermis, it would transform into a Rahkshi robotic skeleton, which another Kraata could enter and control. There was a entire being made of Energized Protodermis, simply known as the Energized protodermis entity. Energized Protodermis was the only known cure to the Antidermis virus, and the Toa Inika used it to cure the infected Matoran on Voya Nui. Energized Protodermis originated from the Great Beings' Planet.
