Turaga Nokama

Gahlok were a subspecies swarm caste of the Bohrok.

History[]

Gahlok were originally designed by the Great Beings, giving the design of the water Bohrok to the Bahrag. Av-Matoran who were destined to transform after their deaths also created Gahlok.

A Gahlok that was selected by the Bahrag was transformed into Gahlok-Kal, using a special muteganic substance.

After being defeated by the Toa Mata, Teridax used his powers to awaken the Bohrok swarms early. After their awakening, the Gahlok led the invasion of Onu-Koro, forcing the Matoran to evacuate. Nuparu, an inventor, first recognized that the Bohrok were machines during this attack and used a Kranaless Gahlok body to build Boxor machines to save Onu-Koro, and later, much of Mata Nui. The Gahlok were put to sleep after the Toa Mata combined their powers to imprison the Bahrag.

They were later awakened by the Toa Nuva when they were doing a list of things Axonn gave them to do, and they helped in cleansing the land of Mata Nui. They then returned to the nest to sleep.

Personality and Traits[]

Gahlok could be described as slippery customers - you would never really know where you were standing with them. Highly unpredictable, their perplexing methods rapidly changed if discovered. They never reacted the same way twice and never struck the same place twice.

They were masters of ambushing their foes, and could blend in with the waves to conceal themselves. They were most commonly found in Ga-Koro and Onu-Koro.

Powers and Equipment[]

Gahlok controlled the element of Water. They channeled this power through the use of their Water Shields.
