Gahlok-Kal was one of the six Bohrok-Kal, a team of elite Bohrok with the purpose of saving the Bahrag, should anything happen to them.
History
Early History
Gahlok-Kal was, at one point, an Av-Matoran. After its death, it transformed into a Gahlok. The Bahrag then selected it and five other Bohrok, one from each swarm, then exposed them to a mutagen that transformed them into the Bohrok-Kal; this Gahlok was transformed into Gahlok-Kal. The transformation enabled it to think independently and speak, as well as granting it power over Magnetism. It then went into a dormant sleep until it was awakened to free the Bahrag.
Mata Nui
Gahlok-Kal was awakened shortly after the defeat of the Bahrag Sisters at the hands of the Toa Mata.
Gahlok-Kal later arrived at the village of Le-Koro, where it stole Lewa's Nuva Symbol by using magnetic force to repel the guards. The Toa Nuva later encountered it in Po-Wahi, where it helped in defeating the Toa Nuva.
Gahlok-Kal was later called to the location of Lehvak-Kal, and it, Lehvak-Kal, and Kohrak-Kal fused into Bohrok-Kal Kaita Ja, in response to Toa Nuva Gali, Lewa, and Kopaka formed Wairuha Nuva. The combined trio then defeated the Toa Nuva.
As the Bohrok-Kal were completing their mission, Tahu Nuva used the Kanohi Vahi to slow their progress, and the Gahlok-Kal was flooded with power from Lewa Nuva's Nuva symbol. It's magnetic abilities gone wild, Gahlok-Kal's metallic body turned into a strong magnet and pulled the remains of defeated Exo-Toa with such force that Gahlok-Kal's form was crushed on impact.
Personality and Traits
Gahlok-Kal was as hard to catch as water itself. Its surface was designed to make it difficult to grasp, and it could "flow" around obstacles when need be. Gahlok-Kal was stealthy as well, able to sneak in and out of a Matoran village without being seen or heard.
Powers and Equipment
Gahlok-Kal's tools were a pair of Magnetism Shields which collected, controlled and directed the power of magnetism from the earth. The magnetic field could be employed as a defensive force field against attack or as a formidable weapon. The shield was also used for a variety of mundane tasks, such as shattering magnetic rock.
