The Great Furnace was the largest furnace in Ta-Metru. Its high internal temperature restricted Matoran from working anything but short periods of time. The Morbuzakh King Root thrived in this furnace before the Toa Metru destroyed it. During the battle, the furnace sustained heavy damage. It was later rebuilt by the Staff of Artakha.
It was evacuated after Spherus Magna was reformed.

- There was an online game called Stop the Morbuzakh, in which the player (Vakama) was defending Ta-Metru from the Morbuzakh.
