The Great Furnace was the largest furnace in Ta-Metru. Its high internal temperature restricted Matoran from working anything but short periods of time. The Morbuzakh King Root thrived in this furnace before the Toa Metru destroyed it. During the battle the furnace sustained heavy damage. It has been since rebuilt by the Staff of Artakha.
It was evacuated after Spherus Magna was reformed.
