History[]
Metru Nui[]
Jaa was a scholar in Metru Nui and lived in Ko-Metru. At one point, he encountered Toa Nuju, who was searching for a Ko-Matoran messenger named Ehrye; having just recently endured a barrage of prying questions from the messenger, Jaa told Nuju of Ehrye's whereabouts, and gave him a crystal that, when dropped into a protodermis basin, would create a new Knowledge Tower to replace those that were being destroyed by the Morbuzakh. Later, for reasons unknown, he was stalked by the Keerakh. He was eventually captured by the Vahki and put into a Matoran Sphere before being rescued by the Toa Metru and brought to the island of Mata Nui.
Mata Nui[]
After being awakened on Mata Nui he aided in the construction of Ko-Koro. He was a scribe in Ko-Koro and helped to translate Turaga Nuju's language to the Wall of Prophecy. He was willing to speak to Takua when the latter arrived in The Sanctum and showed him the tunnel that led to The Drifts. He was also rebuilt at the Kini-Nui into a stronger form after the attack of the Bohrok-Kal. He later aided in the construction of boats for the return trip to Metru Nui.
Return to Metru Nui[]
After he returned along with the other Matoran to Metru Nui he helped to rebuild the city until the Staff of Artakha did the rest of the work. He was also present during the ceremony for Matoro.
Spherus Magna[]
Sometime later he evacuated the Matoran Universe onto Spherus Magna.
