Kirop was a Shadow Matoran and formerly the leader of the Av-Matoran disguised as an Onu-Matoran.
History
100,000 years ago, Kirop was created as an Av-Matoran, living on the Southern Continent. He, along with the others, helped to prepare Karda Nui for Mata Nui's mission. During this time, creatures called Avohkah started taunting the Av-Matoran, but they were stopped by the Toa Mata. After the Av-Matoran's task was completed, Kirop and the others moved to the Southern Continent.
Some time after the Great Cataclysm, several Av-Matoran moved to the Southern Continent and into Karda Nui. Kirop was one of these Av-Matoran. However, Brotherhood of Makuta members Antroz, Chirox, and Vamprah arrived soon after, and began transforming Av-Matoran into Shadow Matoran. After having his light sucked out by a Shadow Leech, Kirop became Chirox's partner, allowing Chirox to see through his eyes, something that became necessary due to Chirox's blindness.
The Toa Nuva captured Kirop and took his Keystone, and he then overheard a plan that they were talking about, and then escaped. However, this was the Toa's plan, and he led them straight to the Shadow Leech Hive. Kirop was saved by Kopaka when Takanuva lost control; later the Klakk screeched, causing Kirop to allow light back to his body. Kirop left with the other Av-Matoran to Metru Nui, where the Toa would meet them after the completion of their mission.
He later evacuated the Matoran Universe and is currently living on Spherus Magna.
Abilities and Traits
Kirop, being the former leader of the Av-Matoran, was the strongest of the Shadow Matoran because he knew all of the Av-Matoran's weaknesses.
As an Av-Matoran, he could shoot blasts of light and change the way others saw his armor color. He also had a light-based ability which he could use when in contact with a Toa.
Kirop could shoot shadow blasts out of his claw blades and also had a power called "sight stealing" when in physical contact with a Makuta. This power allowed him to temporarily blind his foes.
