Kirop was a Shadow Matoran and formerly the leader of the Av-Matoran, making him the strongest of the Shadow Matoran because he knew all of the Av-Matoran's weaknesses. Kirop, along with the other Shadow Matoran, Av-Matoran, and Phantoka, resided in Karda Nui (Universe Core). After having his light sucked out by a Shadow Leech, Kirop became Chirox's partner, allowing Chirox to see through his eyes, something that became necessary due to Chirox's blindness, but according to Lego.shop.com, he is can ride on Krika in the same way.
The Toa Nuva captured Kirop and took his Keystone, and he then overheard a plan that they were talking about, and then escaped. However, this was the Toa's plan, and he led them straight to the Shadow Leech Hive. Kirop was saved by Kopaka when Takanuva lost control (due to him giving in to his shadow half), later the Klakk screeched causing Kirop to allow light back to his body due to the barrier being broke. Kirop left with the other Av-Matoran to Metru Nui where the Toa would meet them after the completion of their mission in the core.
Powers
