Kodan was the Metru Nui Chronicler, and the Matoran who is credited with inventing the sport of Akilini. He began his job as Chronicler when Lhikan and ten other Toa arrived to fight the Kanohi Dragon, and continued for centuries until Teridax disguised as Turaga Dume sent him with two Toa on a mission from which they never returned. The cause for their disappearance was that Makuta Teridax had the Dark Hunter Eliminator exterminate all of the Toa he sent on missions to seal off the gates to Metru Nui, and probably didn't have any qualms about killing Kodan along with them.

Dark Mirror

Kodan was mentioned in Dark Mirror, alive and working as the Metru Nui Chronicler.
He is part of Lesovikk's resistence team, which consists of Takua, Pohatu, Krakua, Nuju (as a Matoran), Ahkmou and several Makuta and Dark Hunters.who would pee him self!^^
