Kodan was the Metru Nui Chronicler, and the Matoran who is credited with inventing the sport of Akilini. He began his job as Chronicler when Lhikan and ten other Toa arrived to fight the Kanohi Dragon, and continued for centuries until Teridax disguised as Turaga Dume sent him with two Toa on a mission from which they never returned. The ball that can be made from Pohatu Nuva's Climbing Claws is called by Turaga Onewa a "Kodan Ball" because of its resemblance to the balls used in the earliest forms of Akilini.
