Kulta, also known as Skull Grinder or Lord of the Skulls, is the leader of the Skull Creatures and one of Makuta's minions.

History

Kulta was originally the leader of the Raiders, they once were known as a group of Legendary Warriors who had protected Ekimu and Makuta as well as Okoto itself from evil before being killed by The Lord Of Skull Scorpions. However, Makuta subsequently approached Kulta and his people and offered them an alliance against Ekimu, only for them to become trapped beneath Okoto's surface when the Mask Of Time's energies were unleashed. Kulta and his compatriots built a city in the depths, and eventually found a way to return to the surface where they renewed their allegiance to Makuta. Before the Toa arrived at the Ancient City to awaken Ekimu, Kulta found and took Makuta's mask, the Mask Of Ultimate Power from its pedestal on the bridge to the Ancient City.

Then Kulta set out for the Labyrinth Of Control, where he could find Makuta's other Mask the Mask Of Control . After Kulta had found Makuta's other mask the Mask Of Control, When Kulta put it on it took control over him when the island began to shake and crumble he turn into a titan that grew hungry for power over the Mask Makers City realizing what Kulta had done Ekimu managed to knocked the mask off of Kulta's face a shockwave rolled across the land and send both Ekimu and Kulta into a endless sleep. Ekimu and the Toa had got help from Kulta's former team the Skull Raiders. After the Toa had awakened Ekimu from his endless sleep. So after Kulta had left them to root on their own Takua The Skull Slicer had became their new leader.

Skull Warrior had used the Mask Of Creation to give him and the others a new body so after they had got new forms and powers they went after Kulta but Skull Warrior had to use Ekimu's hammer to knocked the Mask Of Control off of Kulta's face, defeating him. Skull Warrior and Skull Basher and the others had only wanted peace so the Toa and the Skull Raiders had made peace so the Skull Raiders had went back to their village under beneath the Labyrinth of Control were Makuta's Mask Of Control was once hidden at and brought back to, but Kulta was later found defeated at the Temple Of Time Kulta was found and recreated as Vicuma The Mask Hunter Kulta had started calling himself Vicuma The Mask Hunter he was found by Umarak The Destroyer, Umarak The Destroyer was one of Makuta's strongest soldiers of his dark army, Umarak The Destroyer was Makuta's second in command of the Dark army but still Kulta had became a monster that was hungry for power over the Mask Maker City Kulta was no longer Kulta anymore he still thinks of himself as Vicuma The Mask Hunter.

Powers and Tools

Kulta can drain the power from Golden Masks, and when wielding the Mask of Creation, can defeat the six Toa in one blow.

He wields a Mask Stealer Staff, which he uses to snatch masks from his opponent's faces and drain their power. He also wields a Hook Blade as a side arm. As well as his weapons, he also has dark power flowing through him, which he channels into his minions to make them stronger. He created the skull army with his dark powers and controls it with his mind.

Set Information

• Kulta appears in the set "Mask Maker vs. Skull Grinder", along with Ekimu.
• Kulta and Ekimu can be combined with the Skull Scorpio set to create Kulta's modified form when donning the Mask of Creation.
  • Ironically, the online Bionicle comic shows that Kulta's form doesn't change when he wears the Mask of Creation, although his power increases dramatically.
