The Lake of Fire was a molten body of liquid protodermis on Mata Nui and the site of the Matoran village of Ta-Koro. The superheated lava was spanned by a bridge that could be lowered into the lake if danger threatened the village. Ta-Koro was eventually destroyed by the Rahkshi and sank into the lake.
