Kopaka Mata List of Rarest BIONICLE Sets is a real-life article

List of Rarest BIONICLE Sets is not part of the BIONICLE storyline, which means that List of Rarest BIONICLE Sets should not be used to support storyline details or other canon sources.

This is a list of BIONICLE sets considered the rarest. This is based on numerous factors, including their original status as limited edition sets, or their current availability/prominence on sites such as eBay and Bricklink. The list also assumes these sets are used, as unopened sets would be worth significantly more.

This list does not include exclusive masks as well as contest prizes.

Original Tohunga Sets

All six original Matoran, including 1388 Huki, 1389 Onepu, 1390 Maku, 1391 Jala, 1392 Kongu and 1393 Matoro, are generally harder to find two decades later - especially complete sets with their respective disks. Originally retailed for free as promotional sets, currently sell for around US $15 and up on eBay and Bricklink. Certain colored limbs and masks may be harder to come by.
