The Makuta "Pool" was a pool of Antidermis located underground on an island within the Southern Islands, and a part of the Matoran Universe. It was secured in a room in a canyon there.
History
The pool and Antidermis were originally created by the Great Beings. 100,000 years ago, Mata Nui used this and molded it into the living bodies of the Makuta species, becoming the only place to create any future ones.
100,000 years later, it was discovered by two Order of Mata Nui members, Axonn and Brutaka. Their mission was to destroy the substance to prevent the creation of any more Makuta, but before they could, it stunned them and they fell into the pool. Brutaka became possessed by the pure antidermis, and though he kept his own personality, he began speaking about a place called 'Spherus Magna' and mentioned the 'Golden Armor'.
