Marka in Metru Nui

Marka after being forced into a Matoran Pod

Not much is known about Marka's life on Metru Nui before the Great Cataclysm. At some point, she witnessed Vhisola being chased by Nidhiki on the top of a building, where she was trapped by him. She told this to Toa Metru Nokama, panicking.

Later Marka was summoned to the Coliseum with the rest of the Matoran of Metru Nui. She was captured and placed into a Matoran Pod. During the Great Rescue, the Toa Metru took her pod to Mata Nui along with the other Matoran Pods. Once on the island, they gave up their Toa Power to awake Marka and the other Matoran.

During the Great War, Marka tried a new boat with Macku, Amaya, Kai and some other Matoran, when a tentacled Rahi attacked them. It took Marka down into the water but she was rescued by her friends. She lost her Hau, but Macku recovered it for her later, after the tentacled creature was defeated in Ga-Koro.

After the Bohrok-Kal strike, Marka and the other Matoran were summoned to Kini-Nui, where they were shown the new, rebuilt bodies of Jaller and Takua. Then Marka too was built into a taller, stronger form.

Marka is Ga-Koro's leader of the Shipwrights. She takes her work very seriously, but will offer a large dose of widgets for supplies such as Rope, Sailcloth and Rigging. Shasa takes some of these supplies to the shipyard often.

Marka has recently returned to Metru Nui which she helped to rebuild until the Staff of Artahka fixed the rest of it. Even later she took part in a ceremony in the Coliseum held for Matoro.
