A Mask Maker is a Ta-Matoran who is a master of the art of creating Kanohi masks out of Kanoka and liquid Protodermis. Mask Makers usually took apprentices to learn this art.
The best Mask Makers were contracted by Turaga Dume to work on special contracts. This was the highest honor they could achieve, attainable only by the greatest of their craft.
It is unknown if this job was continued after the events that led to Teridax's reign over the Matoran Universe. An example is when Makuta in desguise of Turaga Dume asked Matoran Vakama to forge the Mask of Time.
