Mata Nui Online Game II was an online game created by Templar Studios and was released on BIONICLE.com in June 26, 2003. It was a sequel to the first game, MNOG. This time the player would be Hahli and would travel from Koro to Koro collecting six crystals, accomplishing tasks and playing Kolhii. After a while; it was taken off from Bionicle.com in 2004 (as the website was being re-designed), but was later brought back to the website as a Kanoka Club exclusive. But this time it was glitch-ridden and whole files were missing. The game wasn't finishable and hardly even playable. Four years later (2008), the game was no longer an exclusive and was unavailable for free to everyone from Bionicle.com.
It was officially removed from Lego.com and Bionicle.com in 2009 along with MNOG.
How to play[]
The player moves Hahli by clicking the mouse where they would like to move. Hahli's bag she wears can contain several things broken into three sub-sections. Most of the things Hahli will collect can be harvested once the right tools are obtained to use on them, such as bamboo, harakeke, protodermis, ore, seaweed, and Cowrie Shells. These are necessary to trade to other Matoran in Ga-Koro or the other Koros to obtain refined materials, like Bamboo Poles, Flax, Rope, String, and more to then craft into tools Hahli can use, such as a Pickaxe, Hatchet, Sluice, and Sickle. They can also be traded for Widgets, which can be used to buy other goods that Hahli can use for training for Kolhii, such as Bamboo Disks and Air Bladders.
It is during all this that Hahli also collects various artifacts, such as Charms that are used to open the hidden chambers in each Wahi that leads to a Crystal representing that skill Hahli trained on while in that Wahi, such as Endurance, Strength, Accuracy, etc.
By the time Hahli and Macku are ready to participate in the Kolhii Championship match against Takua, Jaller, Hewkii, and Hafu, the game begins to integrate with the events of Bionicle: Mask of Light, with Hahli later returning to find Ta-Koro destroyed by the Rahkshi, and later being dubbed the new Chronicler after Takua becomes Takanuva, Toa of Light.
Afterwards[]
A BZPower user called Biomaniac created an offline MNOG II and fixed most of the glitches. But the biggest problem with the offline game was that it couldn't autosave. You would have to edit a file called "getstate.asp" to save. This version was later modified by jetslandingboard (also of BZP) with the ability to save without the long and complicated scripting process. However, the original "getstate" file must be kept if the player ever wishes to restart, and only certain programs can edit the file.
Cheats[]
