Yeah. It's funny how things work out. I stepped away from the wiki several years ago due to real-life stuff (work, school) and never really got back into it. I dropped by several weeks ago just to see how things were and noticed Toa Kopaka Nuva's request for admin. That sort of sparked some the old enthusiasm again, so I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. It's great to see some of the old guard still active. How've you been doing?
Good to see you all doing well!!! I missed being active here. It seems like as teenagers, we have all the time in the world and now as a Teacher and Father of three, I barely have any time at all. I agree with Bold Clone in collecting as many sets on Ebay as I can. I recently got all the Roboriders and Throwbots and now I am up to 822 sets in Bionicle (including many MOCs) Kazi22 (talk) 05:58, May 7, 2020 (UTC)
I been getting Bionicle sets from local bussinesses (cant spell lol) that sells vintage Lego and discontinued sets. Anything else like toys, books, and card games; I been checking thrift store auctions.
I lost count on my collection. XD At this point, both Bionicle and Funko are kinda the same amount. Lol
I hear ya. That's my biggest problem. I'm at a point where I have an adult job which can feed my childhood passion. BUT I simply don't have space in my apartment. I find myself drooling over these Bionicle sets on ebay, only to remind myself that I don't have a spot to display that super cool limited edition Lesovikk set.
Hey there Bold Clone, had a question for. Thought I'd help out around the wiki a bit, and was seeing about getting rid of some redlinks/"Wanted Chronicles". However, there are a number of them on The BIONICLE Wiki:Featured Article Archive that, not being an administrator, I can't do anything about. Think you or one of your administrative colleagues might be able to work on it at some point?
You see, I just made my account and I have made it my mission to try and make a page for all of the Good Guys and Bad Guys, so I was wondering if you could help me out by adding things like relevant links on words, putting them in relevant categories, just making them overall more acceptable, you know? I'm just asking because I'm not sure anyone cares enough about Good Guy to notice the pages, I'm not as experienced as you, and I'll probably be making like 4 or 5 more of these. Thanks!
What would you think if I added tabbers similar to those found here that will let the viewer pick from viewing the Gen 1 or Gen 2 version of a character? I think this would be far easier than having separate pages for both.
Good idea, will it be like how the characters on the Ninjago wiki have tabbers for different incarnations of the character for the movie and Shadow of Ronin? Like how the Ronin page has a tabber linking it to the page for Shadow of Ronin.
Ah. That's what all the editing was about. We actually have a special page just for testing content: The BIONICLE Wiki:Sandbox! Here you can copy the entire contents of a page and experiment with it as much as you like, without needing to worry about what happens if the coding is wrong.
I just wanted ask if you think it would be viable for me to apply as an admin at this time, probably in a similar capacity to you, "Semi-Active". I love this wiki, and aside from the odd times I might add a little too much guesswork, I thoroughly enjoy improving the way the articles read when I have the time.
Obviously I don't have 10k+ edits, but I like to imagine that it's because the ones I have made were somewhat more extensive, being more of a blanket improvement to various pages, rather than the dozens of tiny fixes that get made on a daily basis.
( Also, you have a really cool collection of mask ideas! Nice. )
Thanks, but you'll need to ask User:Toa Kopaka Nuva. He's recently adopted this wiki, and so has been promoted to Admin and B-crat by Wikia Admins. But don't be discouraged! You can still make a difference, even if you can't delete pages or block users. All it takes is just a love of BIONICLE and some editing skills!
I've found a more modern look for our navigation template that I feel will look better on the articles. You can see the update and how I changed it here its fairly minor but thought I would let you know.
One question about the templates: do you think we should get rid of the color-code? We used to have certain colors at the top of the template for types of articles: Orange for forms of media, black for villains, gold for heroes, green for locations, firebrick for objects, etc. Just curious if you wanted to implement a new standard color-code.
Sounds good to me, boss. Just let me know when you're finished overhauling the nav-templates. That way I can tackle them all at once, and I won't accidentally edit-conflict with you while you're working.
