Nixie was a Ga-Matoran who lived on both Mata Nui and Metru Nui.

Biography

Metru Nui

Nixie was a Ga-Matoran who originally lived on Metru Nui. Much was not known about her during that time, but she was captured in the Coliseum by Makuta Teridax and placed into a Matoran Sphere like the other Matoran. The pod was later rescued and brought to Mata Nui by the Toa Metru. They also sacrificed their Toa Power and became Turaga, in order to save Nixie and the other Matoran.

In Ga-Koro, Nixie was an Astrologer, studying stars, especially the Red Star and recording prophecies. During the the time of infected Rahi, she was trapped into a hut with the other Ga-Matoran and the Turaga by a Tarakava. The hut sank but they were rescued by Takua and Gali, who defeated the Tarakava. Later Takua came to Nixie again, giving her a message made by Azibo in Onu-Koro. It was about the Sundial. Nixie theorized that it had fallen into the ground many years ago and gave Takua a Gnomon, which she found long ago in the foothills of Mount Ihu.

Nixie continued her job as an Astrologer. After the Bohrok-Kal attack, Nixie was built into a stronger form by the Turaga. She was also the one to later inform Hahli about the location of the Temple of Purity that she had found out in the stars in her hut.

Return to Metru Nui

Nixie returned to Metru Nui with the rest of the Matoran later, where she helped to rebuild it. When the Staff of Artakha was used, Metru Nui was fully rebuilt. Nixie also took part in the ceremony held for Matoro in the Coliseum.

Spherus Magna

Sometime later she evacuated the Matoran Universe onto Spherus Magna with the other Ga-Matoran and the Water Tribe in the Great Sea.

Powers and Tools

Nixie, like all other Ga-Matoran, had inaccessible Water-based abilities, which manifested themselves in the form of increased lung capacity and greater underwater agility.

Trivia

• In "Mata Nui Online Game" two leaves can be found in her hut that alude to events later in the series. One leaf has the vitruvian figure of the Mask of Life. Another shows a map of the nearby stars, most notably three large spheroids moving in orbit around one another, alluding to Aqua, Bara, and Bota Magna.
• In Mata Nui Online Game II: The Final Chronicle, there is a glitch that prevents the player to go into Nixie's hut. It is not a bad glitch, since it is not required to enter the hut during the game. She however, would tell the location of the Temple of Purity.
• Her hut would only become accessible after Nokama has returned to the village.
• Her hut's key is located in Nokama's Hut.
