The Red Star was a mysterious object in the skies of Mata Nui and Voya Nui. It was used to predict the future, and it was responsible for the coming and transformation of the Toa Inika, electrocuting their normal Matoran bodies with exotic energy until they mutated. Gali later realized that there was something alive inside the Star by looking at it through a telescope with her Akaku activated. The Red Star could be seen from Bara Magna. In the podcast, Riddle of the Great Beings, Tarduk finds a map scratced into metal where the only thing colored was the red star. He then started getting ready to mount an expidition to the Black Spike Mountains to find the location depicted on the map.
