Whenua nodded and concentrated as never before. His Mask of Power glowed as brightly as a sun, its light piercing the ground. Suddenly, he was able to see through solid matter, his vision extending down into a storage hold far beneath the Coliseum.

The Kanohi Ruru was the Mask of Night Vision. The Great Ruru gave its user the power to see clearly in darkness and a limited amount of x-ray vision. It also allowed them to cast a beam of light for illumination, which could be used to blind opponents. The Noble Ruru only allowed its user to see clearly in darkness.[1]

Ruru were carved out of a mixture of Teleport and Enlarge Kanoka on Metru Nui.[2]
