Shadow Takanuva were versions of Takanuva from Alternate Universes, except they were Toa of Shadow.

History
Makuta Tridax began travelling to alternate realities and captured a Takanuva from each of them. Using Shadow Leeches, Tridax began draining most of the Takanuvas of their light and making them Toa of Shadow although he didn't finish all of them. When Destral was destroyed, some of the Shadow Takanuvas died, while others still slept in their stasis pods. One awoke and began debating on destroying the world. Later, three were teleported by Teridax to "welcome" Mazeka and the parallel Teridax to his universe. Those three Takanuvas were destroyed by alternate Teridax.
Powers and Tools
Shadow Takanuva possessed elemental and moral Shadow powers as a result of having their moral Light drained. They were known to be cruel and evil.
Each of the Shadow Takanuva wore a version of the Kanohi Avohkii, all of which were drained of power.
