The Toa, also called Masters, are warriors with elemental powers on the island of Okoto. Each wears a Mask of Power which gives them an elemental power and a related secondary ability. Each Toa also carries various weapons, some of which have multiple functions. 

A group of Toa went on a quest for the Masks of Power and the Mask of Creation. They appear to have descended from six elementally-colored planets shown in the Prophecy of Heroes cave glyphs, and each may have a counterpart in our solar system.
