Toa of Iron was a title given to a Toa who wielded the Elemental Power of Iron. Toa of Iron were typically transformed from a Fe-Matoran. Should a Toa of Iron fulfill his destiny, they were given the option of sacrificing their Toa Power and becoming a Turaga of Iron.
If a Toa of any element were to lose their Kanohi, their Elemental Powers would be halved, and their overall strength greatly weakened.
Powers[]
A Toa of Iron's Elemental power gave them near-perfect command over metal. As such, at a basic level, they could create, control, and absorb iron and other metallic substances. Examples of this included raising metal walls, using metal to restrain enemies, forming metal weapons or tools, and tearing apart existing metal constructs. Toa of Iron naturally possessed a greater level of endurance than other types of Toa. They possessed all these abilities on a vastly greater level than a Turaga of Iron, or a Fe-Matoran.
Personality and Traits[]
Toa of Iron usually wore armor that was gunmetal grey, although they were also seen with other metallic primary colors, such as gold or bronze, with burnt orange as a secondary color. All Toa of Iron were male.
History[]
Various Toa of Iron came into being using Toa Stones throughout the history of the Matoran Universe, and at one point there were hundreds of Toa in the universe simultaneously, some of them Toa of Iron. But after the Great Cataclysm, their numbers began to dwindle, and only a handful were still alive by the time of the Battle of Bara Magna.
Yet the Great Cataclysm was not the only thing to effect their numbers. Because of their ability to control and tear apart various metals, many Toa of Iron were hunted down and killed by the Brotherhood of Makuta, due to their ability to rip open a Makuta's armor, allowing their Antidermis to seep out and dissipate.
Toa of Iron were very rare in the Matoran Universe, even before the reformation of Spherus Magna.
Post-Reformation[]
After Teridax's death, the remaining Toa of Iron evacuated onto Spherus Magna, where they aided in the construction effort to build new homes for the refugees of the Matoran Universe.
