The Ussalry was the Onu-Matoran branch of the Mata Nui Military on Mata Nui, and later Metru Nui and Spherus Magna. Led by High Commander Onepu, they were the third largest force of the Mata Nui Military, behind the Ta-Koro Guard and Gukko Force.
History
The Ussalry was founded during the Great War to defend Onu-Koro from the infected Rahi used by Makuta Teridax. They were hard-pressed during this war, to the point of being unable to spare Ta-Koro even a single regiment. At the end of this war, after the arrival of the Toa Mata, they fought in the first Battle of Kini Nui alongside the Chronicler's Company.
During the Bohrok War, after Nuparu's invention of the Boxor, they took up the use of them. They also aided the Ga-Koro Defense Force in training Keras crabs for use in their military.
After the Matoran of Mata Nui returned to Metru Nui, the Ussalry continued to function as a military for Onu-Metru. Even after the Matoran Universe was evacuated in the aftermath of the Battle of Bara Magna, the Ussalry continued to operate.
Equipment
The Ussalry was named for its use of Ussal crabs as mounts, in battle and for general transport. They also later made use of Boxors. For weaponry, they used Bamboo Disks.
